This was my first ever sighting and first ever photograph of a greenfinch. He seems to have an angry face or maybe its just a determined expression. I love his wing shape and his greenish gold feathers. gb10011

The greenfinch is a very secretive bird. He hides in the trees most of the time. I have only seen him rarely in my journeys to the countryside to photograph garden birds. The finch family are a majestic and colourful family of birds. gb10013
The blue tit is a fast and colourful bird. He is the mainstay of British gardens. To get this little fella on film is no mean feat. His lightning reactions and speed from branch is branch is astounding. I was determined to capture his motion on film. gb10014
