This was my first ever sighting and first ever photograph of a greenfinch. He seems to have an angry face or maybe its just a determined expression. I love his wing shape and his greenish gold feathers. gb10011

The greenfinch is a very secretive bird. He hides in the trees most of the time. I have only seen him rarely in my journeys to the countryside to photograph garden birds. The finch family are a majestic and colourful family of birds. gb10013

Depth of field is one of those enduring photographic terms. It means restricting the amount of subject in focus. In this case it was the face of the squirrel as his tail blurs into the background. sku SQ10005
