The red coloured male chaffinch is a very sleek little individual. He has a hover which lends to a great wing shape when photographed at the right time. gb10002

The male chaffinch has an elegance which surpasses most of the garden birds that I photograph. This wing shape was a special photo for me as it shows the split second wing shape that the camera can capture. gb10004

The greenfinch is a very secretive bird. He hides in the trees most of the time. I have only seen him rarely in my journeys to the countryside to photograph garden birds. The finch family are a majestic and colourful family of birds. gb10013
